A Life Dedicated to the Bansuri
Born into a musical family in Dharwad, Pravin Godkhindi started playing the flute at the age of three and gave his first public performance at six. Trained by his father, Pt. Venkatesh Godkhindi, and rhythm maestro Vidwan Anoor Ananth Krishna Sharma, he mastered both Gayaki and Gatkaari styles.
He became the first Indian to represent the Bansuri internationally at the World Flute Festival in Argentina and the first Indian flutist to perform on the 8-foot contrabass flute.
With a strong academic background (B.E. in Electrical & Electronics), Pravin has effortlessly balanced intellect and art, becoming a globally recognized fusion and classical artist.
His titles, awards, and collaborations with legends like Zakir Hussain, Shivamani, and Hariharan speak volumes of his excellence and versatility.
